History for Lunch: Screwpiles: The Forgotten Lighthouses

Lecture and book signing. Coauthors Larry Saint and Karla Smith will discuss their pictorial history about screwpile lighthouses in southeastern Virginia, northeastern North Carolina, and southern Maryland. The book combines archival plans and photos, original art and photography, stories pulled from light keepers’ logs and journals, and contemporary interviews with people still connected to the lights.
