After School Science- Antartica
Meet James Tarragano! James traveled to the South Pole as a contractor for weather with Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE) at South Pole Station. His discussion will be about his experiences in a remote part of the world, the amazing continent Antarctica. Learn about the challenges of working in extremely cold conditions to accomplish scientific goals. The children will learn how to make a weather balloon capable of carrying instrumentation! Drop in to Port Discover for some FREE afterschool science! Registration is recommended. This program is geared towards children ages 5-12 and does fill up.
