3rd Annual Border Clash HS Basketball Invitational

WRVS-FM, 89.9 is proud to announce the third annual Robert L. Vaughan Border Clash High School Basketball Invitational scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2020 on the campus of Elizabeth City State University. This event will feature Varsity Boys basketball teams from North Carolina and Virginia competing in seven thrilling games at the R.L. Vaughan Center.

“Border Clash,” the official moniker for the invitational named after North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Hall of Fame member Robert L. “Bobby” Vaughan, will bring together reputable border state high school athletic programs, their fan base, and communities at-large. 

Proceeds from Border Clash III will support professional development and training for students, on-air programming, and general operations at WRVS-FM, 89.9. Admission is $8 for the general public and free for children age 5 and under.
